Again a man they bring to Him,
Of Satan sore possessed,
Both blind and dumb, in wretched plight,
But Jesus gave him rest.
The sufferer both spake and saw,
When people, every one,
Who saw this miracle, exclaimed :
"Is not this David's Son?"
But the proud Pharisees, in heart
Ignored this title true;
And said the wondrous healing gift
To Satan's power was due.
Then Jesus knew their thoughts and said :
"What logic ye command!
If Satan cast out Satan, then
His kingdom cannot stand."
