| Butterflies are 3-D on these sample cards |
These two sample cards are by a young student teacher who is also a good friend of my oldest daughter. The butterflies are stamped, hand- painted, cut-out and then slowly curled in order to give this card a three dimensional effect. Butterflies are relatively modern symbols in the Christian church. These have only been used for approximately 113 years to represent resurrection or "rebirth" in Christ.
The example cards here are relatively sophisticated, designed more for an adult than a child. There are also wonderful resources on the web for cards and small gifts that use this modern resurrection symbol to witness to little people. I've included one of my favorites here from
